This striking vintage 14 karat solid yellow gold ring is prong-set to the center with one fancy rectangular-cut blue topaz measuring 8.03 millimeters long by 6.01 millimeters wide and weighing an estimated 1.79 carats. The beautifully faceted topaz is framed above and below by a total of six round-cut natural diamonds (H color; SI1-SI2 clarity), each measuring approximately 1.5 millimeters in diameter and weighing an estimated 0.015 carats each, for a total diamond weight of approximately 0.09 carats and a combined total gemstone weight of approximately 1.88 carats.
The ring features a bold tapered shank with sculptural ribbed shoulders that give the piece a strong geometric Mid Century-inspired look popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The substantial gold mounting beautifully showcases the icy blue gemstone while adding an elegant architectural presence to the design.
The shank is stamped 14K with the hallmark for Leach & Garner of Hong Kong. The ring is a size 5 and can be re-sized to fit by your local jeweler. It weighs 3.69 grams. Expected fine scratches to the gold can be polished out; otherwise, the ring is in excellent estate condition.
Blue topaz is the state gemstone of Texas and one of the birthstones for December. Naturally occurring blue topaz is quite rare. Most blue topaz on the market today begins as colorless, pale yellow, or gray topaz that is heat treated and irradiated to achieve its vibrant sky-blue color.

I ship all items the next business day after I receive them. First Class mail generally takes 3-5 business days in the U.S. Priority Mail takes 1-3 days in the U.S. However, please note that it took the US Postal Service 21 days to deliver one First Class package to California. Shipping to other countries can take 2-6 weeks via First Class International. If you need something for a specific date, consider using Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express.
Generally, no. I'm a one-woman operation and I don't have any live models available. I take great effort to photograph items on measuring devices such as ring mandrels, rulers in millimeters and inches, and scales. I also offer returns, so that if your item is not exactly what you want, you are welcome to return it for a refund.
