Vintage Orange Blossom Diamond Engagement Ring 14K Gold Art Deco Retro Size 5.5

$994.99

Surprise your special lady (or treat yourself) with this exquisite antique diamond ring!

This elegant late Art Deco to early Retro-era ring is crafted in solid 14 karat yellow and white gold and features delicate geometric detailing characteristic of fine engagement rings from the late 1930s through early 1950s. The airy openwork gallery, white gold accents, and graceful split shank create a refined vintage look that remains timeless today.

The ring is prong-set to the center with one round-cut natural diamond measuring 4.6 millimeters in diameter and weighing an estimated 0.43 carats. Accenting the center stone are two round-cut natural diamonds, each measuring 1.5 millimeters in diameter and each weighing an estimated 0.015 carats. Completing the design are four additional round-cut natural diamonds bead-set into the corners of the white gold setting, each measuring 1.25 millimeters in diameter and each weighing an estimated 0.01 carats, for a total estimated diamond weight of 0.50 carats. The diamonds are estimated at G-H color and SI1-SI2 clarity.

This finely detailed vintage ring features a raised four-prong head with an open pierced gallery beneath the center diamond, allowing light to beautifully illuminate the stones. The shoulders display charming engraved details and distinctive white gold “X” motifs, while the split tapered shank gives the ring an elegant and delicate profile.

The ring measures 6.16 millimeters (1/4 inch) wide at the top (along the finger) and tapers to approximately 0.62 millimeters (just under 1/32 inch) wide at the shank. It is a size 5 1/2 and can be re-sized to fit by your local jeweler. The ring weighs 1.4 grams and is stamped 14K and ORANGE BLOSSOM, though much of the first word has worn with age. Expected signs of wear consistent with age; otherwise, excellent antique condition.

Orange Blossom jewelers began producing fine jewelry in the early 1900s and became especially well known for their beautifully crafted engagement rings and wedding bands featuring distinctive vintage styling and high-quality workmanship. The company was purchased in 1990, and all molds were reportedly destroyed, making surviving Orange Blossom rings increasingly collectible and difficult to find today. Collectors and brides alike continue to seek out these elegant vintage designs for their craftsmanship, romance, and timeless appeal.

We are listing several pieces of estate jewelry, along with other items fresh from fine North Carolina estates.

Photos are likely not actual size; please see item description for dimensions. If there is a defect not discernible in the pictures, it will be included in the text. There are many variables, including lighting, background, physical filters, digital filters, the capabilities of the monitor on which the image is displayed, and the color perception of the viewer.
