This exquisite sterling silver flatware was produced by Towle in the Candlelight pattern. It features a service for 8, plus serving pieces, totaling 64 pieces, including:

This set comes in a a velvet-lined wood silverware case. No monograms. Expected tarnish and light scratches to the silver can be polished out; otherwise, good estate condition. Scratches to wood case can also be refinished. See our other listings for additional pieces for this pattern.
Produced by Towle from 1934 to 2009, Candlelight a pattern that draws on the aristocratic elegance found in Renaissance embroidery. Candlelight flatware has proved to be very versatile in the years since its introduction, and can be used with a variety of china and crystal patterns.
This lovely set is from the estate of the late Zirkle James "Jim" Estes, Jr., of Charlottesville, Virginia. Jim was born on September 22, 1936, in Charlottesville, to Zirkle J. Estes and Virginia Martin Estes. He was a descendant of Abraham Estes, an English immigrant from Kent, who became a landowner in Virginia in the 1600s. Abraham's two marriages and numerous children produced many descendants, including Joel Estes, who founded Estes Park, Colorado.
Jim earned a BS in Education in and an MA in English from the University of Virginia. He was a teacher for 31 years, the last 25 at Albemarle High School, his alma mater. Jim died of esophageal cancer on January 4, 2021. His ashes are interred in the family plot in Ruckersville Community Cemetery on land donated by his paternal grandparents, as a public cemetery, in 1927.

I ship all items the next business day after I receive them. First Class mail generally takes 3-5 business days in the U.S. Priority Mail takes 1-3 days in the U.S. However, please note that it took the US Postal Service 21 days to deliver one First Class package to California. Shipping to other countries can take 2-6 weeks via First Class International. If you need something for a specific date, consider using Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express.
Generally, no. I'm a one-woman operation and I don't have any live models available. I take great effort to photograph items on measuring devices such as ring mandrels, rulers in millimeters and inches, and scales. I also offer returns, so that if your item is not exactly what you want, you are welcome to return it for a refund.
